This work is dear to my heart. It took several months and different endings to finish this poem. It is full of my deepest thoughts.
In My Pot of Poetry What do I see
I see me
In my poetry I create me
I could have run on sentences, fragmented too.
Talk about anything, I remind myself of the great late Dr. Seuss
I express God’s creation, new life,
This is me.
I can flow with a rhythm or rhyme free style
at a drop of a dime and still be right on time.
I’m not misplaced, I’m misunderstood.
I thank God for my poetry and creative writing
